Plaça del Centre is a Barcelona Metro line 3 station located in the intersection of the streets Avinguda de Madrid, Carrer de Berlin, Carrer dels Comtes de Bell-lloc and Carrer de Vallespir, a short walk away from the major railway station Barcelona Sants. It takes its name from a square located in the border between two districts of Barcelona: Les Corts and Sants-Montjuïc. It was opened in 1975 as part of the line then known as IIIB under the Spanish-language name Plaza del Centro. In 1982 the lines L3 and L3b rejoined as a single train service and the name was adapted to its current Catalan language form. The station's platforms are 94 m. long.
