Sant Andreu is a Barcelona Metro line 1 and Barcelona-Sant Andreu Comtal is a station for Rodalies de Catalunya. It was named after the neighbourhood of Sant Andreu de Palomar, in the Sant Andreu district of Barcelona, and it's located below Avinguda Meridiana. The Barcelona Metro station was built in 1968 along with Fabra i Puig and Torras i Bages. The railway station is served by Rodalies de Catalunya line R2 and a number of regional trains from the line Barcelona-Portbou-Cerbère. It's located completely over ground. Sant Andreu Comtal railway station used to have up to 10 railtracks, which were decreased to 2 in year 2010 because of the AVE works between Barcelona and the French border.
